About Me

Hey y'all, my name's Carter and I'm a Twin Cities based artist originally from South Dakota! I grew up on a small farm in the middle of nowhere, graduating from Henry High School whose main claim to fame is a graduating class of two that was featured on the Jay Leno Show (clearly a town known for putting out TV talent!). While there I dabbled in anything that would keep me busy: football, basketball, choir, band, oral interp, and my favorite, theatre.

After graduating high school I decided that I wanted to pursue theatre as a career, prompting me to attend the University of South Dakota where I received a BFA in Musical Theatre, a minor in Dance, and wrote a full-length play, Chimeric Ideals, for my Honors Thesis. It was wonderful to be in a place where I could develop my artistic talents and learn what areas of the theatre spoke to me.

After my college career, I moved up to Minneapolis, MN where I have continued to perform in theatres all around the metro and have even found the time to continue writing, focusing on my plays as well as freelancing with SotaSoccer.com where I write about collegiate and semi-professional soccer and moonlight on a couple of podcasts!
